From 1986 to 1990, Edula® Ointment was clinically tested on patients with deep abrasions and after surgical removal of tattoos.

In more than 1000 patients with a total of 1600 wounds, only 2 allergic reports were found on the Calendula in this ointment. The symptoms consisted of itching and skin irritation.

With proper use of the prescriptions, 93% of this group of patients had no significant scarring.

Of the remaining 7% of this group of patients, 4% did not comply with the regulations. The remaining 3% had a genetic predisposition for the development of hypertrophic and / or keloidal scars
